Day-of-Sedation Guide
Here’s what to expect from arrival to going home, so the day feels familiar and calm.
When you arrive
Plan to arrive on time. We’ll greet you and confirm your information. [TBD — Dr. Lincoln to confirm arrival/check-in details.]
Step by step, what to expect
- Check-in: confirm details and last food/drink times.
- Assessment: the anesthesia provider examines the patient and reviews history.
- Consent: we explain the plan and answer questions before anything begins.
- Sedation & treatment: anesthesia is given through an IV line and the patient is continuously monitored while the dentist works.
- Recovery: we watch the patient closely as the sedation wears off.
[TBD — Dr. Lincoln to confirm step details and timing.]
The assessment & consent flow
Before any sedation, our provider performs a pre-op assessment and reviews the plan, risks, and alternatives with you. Sedation only proceeds after your consent. [TBD — Dr. Lincoln to confirm.]
